OAK HILL MIDDLE SCHOOL NEWSLETTER

Dear Families,

Happy New Year and welcome back to Oak Hill Middle School! We hope everyone had a restful, joyful break and was able to spend time recharging with family and friends. We are excited to begin 2026 together and jump back into learning, growth, and community here at OHMS.

As we return, we are heading into the final stretch of Quarter 2, which will wrap up on January 23rd. Students have worked hard this quarter, and we are proud of the effort, perseverance, and progress we continue to see across all grade levels.

Before looking ahead, we would also like to celebrate some wonderful moments from December. At our December assembly, congratulations to the 6th grade for winning the Spirit Stick—your school pride and positive energy truly stood out!

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and supported our Winter Festival. It was a huge success and a wonderful reflection of our school community. Our gymnasium came alive during the incredible band and chorus performance, led by our talented music teacher, Mr. Desmarais, and our amazing student musicians who engaged the entire audience. Families also created beautiful ornaments, thoughtfully facilitated by our very own Mrs. Williams, and our Book Fair was a major success. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and special thanks to Mrs. Rines for running such a smooth and successful event. These experiences leave a lasting impact and highlight the importance of our school–family partnership. We are truly grateful for your continued support.

Looking ahead, we are also excited for an upcoming school dance, with proceeds going toward funding the 8th grade end-of-year field trip. This is always a fun and meaningful event for our students, and we appreciate your support in helping make these memorable experiences possible.

As winter continues, please remember to send students to school dressed for the weather with warm coats, hats, mittens, and boots. We will continue to enjoy outdoor time and winter activities whenever possible.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Oak Hill Middle School is a special place because of our students, families, and staff working together. We look forward to a strong finish to Quarter 2 and a fantastic start to the new year.

Best,

MaKayla Stevens
